Brother, can you Spare a Dime?

Awhile back I wrote an article about the stress that both Trump and Biden are under and how it could affect the election results. When I wrote it, it was just a little tongue in cheek humor, but it’s getting almost prophetic. If you’re a Trump supporter, it’s time to start worrying. He can’t come up with the $454 Million Bond, he’s been turned down by the insurance companies and none of the Republican fat cats are stepping up to the plate. He’s run up millions in legal fees and right now, the RNC is covering them, but that gravy train won’t last forever, because they’ve got money problems, too. They’re about a week away from standing on the corner, shaking a tin cup, and singing, “Brother, can you spare a dime?” Trump is still looking at 81 felony counts in multiple jurisdictions and the Sword of Damocles, in the form of the Supreme Court is hanging over his head. If the Supremes rule against him in April (as most of the legal community believes they will), Jack Smith is going to declare ready for trial and Judge Tanya Chutkin will put Jan. 6th on an expedited basis. So, to sum this up in street terms- it sucks to be him, he’s tapped out, half a billion in debt, the judge doesn’t like him, and the potential Washington DC jury pool is his worst nightmare. Trump is under increasing stress and it’s showing. He’s getting even more shrill, back to election denial, glorifying Jan. 6th rioters and talking about revenge and retribution. 30% of the voters love it, they won’t abandon Trump under any circumstances, but the remaining 70% of voters shake their head and mutter that they’d vote for Donald Duck before they’d vote for Trump. I guess in someways, that’s what they’ll be doing in November….
