We’ve had our kids, Christie and Jason, in town this week, and as usual there was a lot of eating and drinking. Christie is a master “restaurant scout” and Friday night she hit the ball out of the park when she came up with Noble Roots. Savannah is the graveyard of restaurants, the competition is fierce, and new restaurants frequently have a short lifespan. Noble Roots, nestled in the Savannah Quarters area of Pooler has been around since 2022 and it’s doing everything right. This is a small, hip, very cool place that could easily hold its own in Chicago or L.A. They took a non-descript interior, painted the walls white and turned an artist loose and the result was, to say the least, impressive, and fun. But you’re there to eat and drink and that’s where they won all four of us over, the food was outstanding. From steaks to fresh seafood, the menu is varied, and dinner was excellent. Amber, our server, was friendly, efficient, and made dinner enjoyable. Like everyone, we have our “go-to” places, and last night Noble Roots was added to the list.
